Building Sustainable Communities
At SAP we always strive to enhance the sustainability of our products and services, but helping to build sustainable communities is also of the utmost importance to us. One of our valued partners ALDI shares in this ethos. So when they asked us if we would like to get involved with the Foróige ‘Community Garden’ initiative Pat and Colm from our Landscapes department kindly offered up their weekend to make it happen.
Colm and Pat mentored forty young gardening enthusiasts from Offaly and Donegal who have worked long and hard throughout the summer designing their two community gardens based on the very Irish themes of fairies and the bog. The gardens, sponsored by ALDI were filled with beautiful plants and trees from their supplier SAP Nurseries in Cahir, County Tipperary.
Both gardens were on display in front of the ALDI tent at the National Ploughing Championships 2016 in Tullamore, County Offaly.
