DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland

Supporting Community Wellbeing

SAP Landscapes were honoured to lend support to presenter Baz Ashmawy and his team of volunteers at DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland as they renovated the home of the Mulvey-Sydney family.

Thirteen-year-old Isabella Mulvey-Sydney was born with a rare congenital disorder called Lumbar Sacral Agenesis, which resulted in both her legs being amputated at the age of seven. Isabella is described as a tenacious, bright and brave young teenager, but her home in Ennis, which she shares with her parents and twin brother AJ, was completely unsuitable to her needs and its inaccessibility was causing physical pain to her and her parents, Darum and Clare.

We were delighted to collaborate with Diarmuid Gavin on this incredibly inspiring project by supplying a beautiful selection of specimen plants and 20 Pleached Lime trees for this family’s fantastic new garden.

We extend our best wishes to the Mulvey-Sydney family and hope that they can enjoy their newly renovated home and garden together to the fullest extent.

“Working with the team at SAP Landscapes on the Oak Park project was a pleasure. They understood our vision from the get-go, and the knowledge and the expertise they brought to the project was immense in delivering this award-winning project”.
