Payroll Administrator (Maternity Cover)

This job description outlines some of the duties and responsibilities that are associated with your role but
it is by no means an exhaustive list and may be amended as the management of the company directs.

Duties:

• Register new starters and leavers via Revenue Online System (ROS)
• Application of tax and PRSI details and ensuring data is accurate and up to date
• Processing the weekly and monthly employee payroll (250 staff) to agreed deadlines
• Dealing with all aspects of the payroll process
– Starters and Leavers
– Benefit in Kind
– Pensions
– Bonus
– Holidays
– Benefits
– Statutory and voluntary additions and deductions
• Preparation and filing of monthly P30’s on ROS
• Compile monthly pension/health reconciliations/payroll and headcount/labour cost reports
• Attend regular team meetings
• Ad hoc duties

Responsibilities:

  •  Deal with payroll related queries from staff
  •  Involvement in employee salary reviews in terms of administration, payroll and reporting purposes
  •  Set up new starters on payroll system
  •  Process payroll on payroll system and submit file to bank Job Description Payroll Officer
  • Email payslips to all employees
  • Record all holidays on HR system
  • Processing of payroll journals and balance sheet reconciliations monthly
  • Allocation of payroll hours for job costing purposes

Requirements:

  • 2+ years payroll administration experience including knowledge of relevant PRSI/Tax requirements and   legislation required
  •  IPASS qualification and advantage (or currently studying/considering and IPASS qualification)
  •  Experience in SAGE Micropay is an advantage
  •  Strong IT skills – Excel, Word, Outlook
  •  Ability to deal with and prioritise multiple tasks
  •  Excellent attention to detail is a key attribute of this role
  •  Ability to cope with pressure of peak workloads through good planning and time management skills

Salary: €30 – €35,000 (Pro Rata) – 30 Hours per week
